Logista, one of Europe’s largest logistics operators, has opened a new facility in Toledo, through Logista Parcel, the leading network in temperature-controlled capillary transport, as part of its market growth strategy.

 

The new headquarters, located at the Toledo Industrial Estate, has a total area of 5,700 square metres and a total built area of 3,332 square metres. Moreover, it has a 277-square-metres office area and chambers and refrigerated areas with a total area of 2,522 square metres.

 

As for the chambers, they have specific volumes for different temperature ranges: 748 cubic metres for the 2-8ºC chamber and for the -18ºC chamber, and a total volume of 6,238 cubic metres for the 5-12ºC chambers and pre-chambers. The headquarters also has a 300-cubic-metre temperature-controlled chamber at a controlled temperature of 15-25ºC.

 

The warehouse area in the ambient zone has a volume of 3,556 cubic metres and storage capacity for 300 pallets. The warehouse also has 16 berths, all equipped for pre-chamber access, and a sorter with 9 outlets, capable of handling a throughput of 2,000 packages per hour.

 

The new warehouse is also equipped with a photovoltaic facility using solar panels for energy production, with a capacity of 100 kW, and has a CCTV system to guarantee the security of the premises.

 

With a workforce of 36 employees and a fleet of 18 delivery vehicles, all with ATP FRC certification and a total load capacity of 250 pallets, Logista has been offering a first-class logistics service to its customers in the province of Toledo since 11 March.
