The facility sits on a 5,471-square-metre site and features a wide range of services, including temperature-controlled storage areas, 19 loading bays, and administrative offices
The company strengthens its presence in the region with new premises staffed by 32 people and more than 20 delivery fleet vehicles
Logista, one of Europe’s largest logistics operators, has opened a new facility in A Coruña through Logista Parcel, the leading network for temperature-controlled capillary transport. Strategically located in the Morás Business Park in Arteixo, the new facility will have a staff of 32 people who will operate more than 20 delivery and collection fleet vehicles to meet the company’s objectives in the region.
With a 5,471-square-metre plot and 2,914 square metres of built area, the warehouse is equipped with 19 loading bays to speed up distribution operations. Besides, 15,000 cubic metres have been allocated to multi-temperature controlled temperature, including 350 square metres of pre-chamber at between 0 and 8 degrees, as well as 3,100 cubic metres of frozen chambers with capacity for 1,100 storage pallets.
Likewise, 700 cubic metres of refrigerated storage and 375 cubic metres of temperature-controlled storage have been installed, together with 1,200 square metres of area for generic, ambient temperature parcels.
Besides the warehousing and distribution areas, the headquarters has 450 square metres of space for manoeuvring and operations, as well as 300 square metres dedicated to offices and administrative services to guarantee comprehensive support for logistics operations.
The first lorries will be unloaded on Saturday 2 March, after which the facility will be fully operational for inbound and outbound activities.
