NACEX, Logista’s express parcel and document delivery company, has inaugurated its new logistics platform in the Alicante town of Monforte del Cid. The presentation event for the new centre was attended by Manel Orihuela, General Director of NACEX, and Maria Dolores Berenguer, Mayoress of Monforte del Cid.
The platform, located in the Las Norias Industrial Estate, has 3,923 m2, 16 loading bays for vans and 2 for trucks, and can handle up to 3,500 shipments per hour, thanks to its advanced sorting and shipment monitoring technology.
Thanks to this new space, NACEX will continue to expand its operational capacity in order to cope with the growth it is experiencing in the region, where it currently handles between 120,000 and 150,000 shipments per month and where it expects an increase of between 25% and 30% in monthly shipments for the Black Friday and Christmas campaigns.
For Manel Orihuela, General Director of NACEX, "this hub is a step forward for NACEX's activity in the province thanks to its location and the technological advances it includes, but, above all, this new centre is a step forward for the sector, as it is a reflection of the commitment we are making to create more ecological spaces with less environmental impact".
This logistics platform, which replaces the one located in the municipality of Villena, joins the company's network of 33 hubs in Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands. For Maria Dolores Berenguer, mayoress of Monforte del Cid, "today we start a joint journey that will benefit both parties. Together we are consolidating our business and industrial framework in a strategic point like Monforte del Cid".
The event was also attended by Juan José Hernández Rico, Councillor for Finance, Personnel, Contracting, and Festivities, and Maribel de Las Nieves Antón, Councillor for Trade, Equality, and Social Services. Part of the management team of NACEX and Logista were also in attendance, and the NACEX franchises it serves, located in Elche, Alicante, Elda, Villena, Alcoy, Ibi, San Vicente, Novelda, Almansa and Onteniente..
