  • The express courier company is preparing for further growth and is strengthening its network of platforms by opening this hub.

NACEX, Logista’s express parcel and document delivery company, has opened a new distribution hub in the Alicante town of Monforte del Cid, in the Las Norias Industrial Estate, in order to strengthen and deal with its growth.

The new Nacex centre, which has been operational since the 29th of August and replaces the one located in the municipality of Villena, has larger, more modern and well-located facilities to continue guaranteeing an efficient and high quality service to customers.

The new hub has a surface area of 3,923m2, 16 loading bays for vans and 2 for trucks, and can handle up to 3,500 shipments per hour thanks to its advanced sorting and shipment control technology. The order sorter in the distribution centre incorporates an MID-certified dynamic weighing and volumetric scale and uses artificial vision for reading the barcodes of the goods and sorting them, thus speeding up their distribution and delivery.

Another of the logistical merits of the new centre is its location, next to the A-31 motorway and with good connections to the whole province, which is a great advantage for the NACEX network. In terms of sustainability, LED lighting inside and outside the warehouse reduces energy consumption and, consequently, the environmental impact.

In addition, the centre has a powerful security and control system, thanks to its CCTV traceability system with Full HD cameras, allowing full tracking of the goods’ movements. Furthermore, it is equipped with a temperature-controlled storage area for the NACEXpharma service, ensuring shipment temperature traceability.

In June this year, NACEX already increased the capacity of its Valencia hub, located in the Ribarroja de Turia Industrial Estate, by installing a new sorter with the capacity to process up to 6,000 envelopes and parcels per hour simultaneously.

NACEX currently has a network of 33 platforms in Spain, Portugal and, since February this year, the Netherlands, a market it entered following Logista’s acquisition of SPEEDLINK in order to boost NACEX's international expansion.
