  • It is the first vehicle adapted to the DGT’s regulations for PMVs developed in the Spanish market, and NACEX is the first company to include it.
  • The new Scoobic eBox will make it easier for NACEX to move around the city and reduce its emissions.
  • This system will be a revolution for last-mile delivery, by allowing access to pedestrian streets, buildings, and premises, carrying up to 120 kg.

NACEX, Logista's express parcel and documentation delivery company, has collaborated with Scoobic, manufacturer of electric vehicles, in the development of a new model of sustainable electric micromobility vehicle, destined to revolutionise last mile delivery: the Scoobic eBox. This vehicle is the first adapted to the DGT’s regulations for PMVs (Personal Mobility Vehicles) that are developed in the Spanish market and will facilitate NACEX its movements in cities.

The Scoobic eBox, a 100% electric vehicle, manufactured in Spain using European components, comes onto the market after a year of research and joint work by NACEX and Scoobic, who have contributed their know-how to the development of this pioneering solution for urban distribution. In 2022, NACEX will be the first company to add 45 Scoobic eBox units to its fleet and will gradually add new units over the next few years. In 2023, this transport, patented by Scoobic, will begin to be used in other large European cities.

This last-mile electric vehicle allows NACEX franchisees to make 30% more deliveries per hour than a conventional van. Moreover, this delivery vehicle is prepared to face the most demanding challenges of last mile management thanks to its double standardisation, which allows it to be driven both conventionally like a scooter, or by carrying out the functions of a guided trolley, allowing access to pedestrian streets, buildings, and premises. In addition, this electric vehicle is characterised by having unlimited autonomy thanks to an innovative battery exchange system. It also stands out for its great load capacity, which allows NACEX franchise couriers to transport up to 400 litres and 120 kg.

For Manel Orihuela, General Director of NACEX, "This collaboration with Scoobic demonstrates all our experience in last mile delivery and the commitment we have to sustainable delivery and the search for innovative solutions for the urban distribution of goods.” He adds that “Scoobic's eBox meets the needs of our franchises by combining sustainable mobility and practicality in urban environments, which are increasingly restrictive for driving. These solutions will allow collaboration in the creation of the cities of the future: free of noise, smoke, and traffic jams.”

“At Scoobic we continue to invest in and work on providing new innovative solutions that reduce pollution in cities and improve the urban distribution of goods, an ambition that we share with NACEX. The eBox is the result of our collaboration, developed based on experience of day-to-day operations, in order to revolutionise last mile delivery. The eBox is Scoobic's first micromobility vehicle, which will also be the first to be produced in our new factory in Seville.” - Jose María Gómez, CEO, and founder of Scoobic.
